Frequently Asked Questions
How much do you charge?
Every property is different: different sizes, different requirements, different locations — just plain different. When pricing out each job, I take everything into account, such as the number of rooms, design of the building, and estimated post-production time. I want my clients to get the very most for their money and end up with pictures that accurately represent their property. So while it would be nice and convenient to have set pricing, it would not be fair either to myself or the client.
How long will it take for you to photograph everything?
Again, that depends on the property but generally speaking it can take anywhere from one to three hours (or more) to get all the photos the client wants. Sometimes, depending on the positioning of the home with relation to the prevailing daylight, I may have to make more than one trip to photograph a property but I will usually try to figure that out in advance.
Is there anything special I should do before you come to photograph the property?
If we are talking about a residential home, I have provided a checklist of things you should do. If we are talking about a commercial property, I will discuss those details with the property owner in advance.
Once you’ve taken the photos how long will it be before I get usable copies that I can send to the MLS or place in my print marketing materials?
Generally speaking, it will take about 24 to 48 hours to post-process the photos I shoot and then convert them into JPEG format so that you can place them on a website or put them in your print marketing materials. If it will take longer than 48 hours I will let you know in advance.
